The William Hobbayne Centre

Support, Activities and Events for Hanwell's Older People (list below).

Located at the corner of St. Dunstans Road & Lower Boston Road, Hanwell W7 2HB. Tel: 020-8810-0277. Email: HobbayneCharity.

The name of William Hobbayne has been part of Hanwell's history for centuries. In 1484 William gave a house and some 24 acres of land to be used for the poor and needy of the parish and since then the Charity of William Hobbayne has been quietly making a difference to local people in need, hardship or distress.

It is often said today that the needs of older people are not necessarily financial; the real poverty is isolation and lonliness. Hobbayne trustees agree and together with the fact that people are living longer, the Charity's priority has become the provision of the William Hobbayne Centre.

You are very welcome to join in the many activities and events organised at the centre.

The Hobbayne trustees have been heartened by the many offers of help at the centre. Special thanks are due to Pathways (formerly known as Ealing & Brentford Consolidated Charity ) for their support. We also really appreciate the organisations, volunteers and local people who are showing such enthusiasm and generosity.
